Well we hit the city in searing heat - the entire tour of uptown and Statue of Liberty - I can report that she is still standing tall despite what she has been thru. Did you know that she was a gift from the French people and designed by them? To all who travel here - note to selves, prebook as much as you can as the lines in the heat are killer. Not to mention the fact it is Independence weekend and all flock here for the 4 th of July fireworks. This town as mad as it is certainly has it's charm and we thought of Rsi, Sharms dad many times today as he was born and breed in Brooklyn (and his dad Rus a New York cop for 36 years) and the lad has it running thru his blood!!! They are quite the breed the NYers!!! Pics posted tomorrow.
Just walked 6 hours and 70 blocks from Madison downtown and up Fifth Ave. NY is packed with people and a big serious heat wave!!
