Wow what can I say about la LA land? It is a sight to behold. It is a great creative place full of stimuli. Sharm took me on the tour through Beverley Hills - nothing too shabby here folks - one wonders how the residents here were hit by the recession. Onto Rodeo Drive (plenty of empty stores here so they took a hit) It was fathers day and there was a huge car expo which I know Andrew would have totally loved!!
The winner for me was HD Buttercup in Santa Monica, definitely a great way of show casing the best in an awesome space - a totally renovated bakery!
Then a lovely dinner with our Tallebugera Valley neighbours at Universal Studios all a long way from home and a great night out with Paul riding the mechanical bull!
Great to meet Mike, owner of the lovely Interior Illusions (with stores in West Hollywood, Santa Monica and Palm Springs). He was so great to Sharm from first arriving and Bandhini looks great in store.
We are in Texas now and have just set up the trade fair (Dallas Home Expo). it is 8.30pm and still totally light outside. We're exhausted as we have been up since 4am to catch our 6am flight. I will posts pictures tomorrow and tell you more about Texas!
