Ikat

The defining characteristic of ikat is the dyeing of patterns into the threads before the weaving of the fabric takes place. This is the difference between ikat and tie-dye. In tie-dye the fabric is woven first and the resist bindings are then applied to the fabric which is dyed.
Our ikat cushions immitate this special dyeing technique and are embroidered by hand. These cushions are available in cream, black & beige or navy & white
