Hi to Vicki and never bye to Anji

Whilst we are all sad at the departure of our darling Anji – we are very happy and excited for her new adventure and very proud of her achievements!

We will keep you posted on her progress as she will never really leave us.
Joining us in her role is Vicki - below (my great looking- sister in law), who is under Anjali’s tutorage as we speak! Please be kind to her whilst she has her “L” plates on!
Great to have you Viks!

Ikat

The defining characteristic of ikat is the dyeing of patterns into the threads before the weaving of the fabric takes place. This is the difference between ikat and tie-dye. In tie-dye the fabric is woven first and the resist bindings are then applied to the fabric which is dyed.
Our ikat cushions immitate this special dyeing technique and are embroidered by hand. These cushions are available in cream, black & beige or navy & white

Dupion silk

Silk dupioni is produced from 2 silkworms that spin a cocoon together, thus making a strong double-thread silk. Dupion, as we call it, has an advantage over some other types of silks, in that it tends to resist wrinkles, which helps to enhance the usability of the finished fabric. In addition, silk dupioni also has a tendency to take creases very well, which can give the final product a crisp and formal appearance.
